First day of class in the USA

Feb 6, Monday. I have 3 classes on this day. Bah. Woke up at 6 and got changed. Had breakfast and left for college at 7.45. This will likely repeat every Monday, Wednesday and Friday…

And so I was dropped at Melrose. Went to IPO and handed Marie 3 forms, and confirmed with her that I am already enrolled in health insurance. Sandy heard us discussion about campus job, and asked me to apply for the librarian EMS position, because the position is urgent and currently empty. So I went, and met her husband, Mr. Bahram Rafaei.

I let all my stuffs in IPO, including my schedule, so I walked back to IPO and filled the form there. Got to the library and this time I asked to see Andy, the one Sandy asked me to see. Waited until he is available and got into his room, and explained my situation to him. Unfortunately, that position requires a driving license, which I apparently don’t own.

There went my one and a half hour… ==” Walking back and forth between Melrose and library is tiring… They are located at the opposite ends of the college. =3 And now I have to walk back to Pioneer, which is further away. ==”

The Developmental Psychology class was a boring one with introduction and nothing else. The lecturer is quite okay, I think. Sociology class is fine, and the lecturer is fine too. But then he wanted to give us a quiz on Wednesday, so I have to get the textbook as soon as possible.

Got to the library and wanted to borrow some textbooks, only to know that they don’t have any. What kind of library it is? I have no idea…

Went T.J Day Hall for Pronunciation class. There were only SangEun, me, and a Chinese called Ting. Really small class. After some introduction, we did some recordings separately, but it was kind of just for fun. And… I don’t really want to be in such a weird class. Nah, I have no choice though.

Met Queenie when I was leaving T.J. Day, and she suggested that I get to Renshaw and meet everybody else. Good suggestion. So everybody gathered at Renshaw, and then left for Albertson, but I stayed. I need to use the wifi when I can! Like what Floyd said later when we meet, I am busy “getting things done whenever I am on campus”.

The sociology professor asked for the newest version of the textbook, and asked me to settle my problem by myself. Well, why not? Let’s see who will win the bet. And so I ordered Sociology and Psychology textbooks. I planned to but pronunciation textbook from the bookstore.

So what is my plan? I will get to the bookstore and read the first chapter tomorrow. We’ll see if that work. Now the most important thing is to retreat!!

And so I was brought by Cheryl to a place where Ed, Kevin, and she is all working on a huge project. It is a complicated place with all kind of jobs for the disabled. Met Cheryl’s mother there. That day was her marriage anniversary, and Cheryl took her to lunch, and therefore she insisted to help.

Tell you what. I got my phone~ I was looking around until Cheryl tells me that they normally just left it in front of the house, so she went out and got it for me. Kind of funny right? I mean the delivery system. Nevertheless, I got my first smartphone, which is a really cheap one. 194 USD. Samsung Exhibit SGH-T679. Was out last September, so this is quite a new phone.

Learned how to use it. lol. I was such an idiot. Well, it is nonetheless my first smartphone; I never really used any. So tomorrow I’ll have to worry about google voice… Cheryl had to get back to help Ed, so I stayed and played with my phone for a while after bath, and then to dream!

Oh I almost forgot. I played with Cheryl DSLR too. Here are some pictures of Adagio that I’ve taken.

Adagio playing with my phone's instruction manuals...

He sleeps more than I do... and he sleeps at night. ==''
