Trip to Salem and Woodburn

18 Feb. Saturday. Woke up at 7 and attempted to finish my assignment, falling asleep from time to time. ==”

Got changed at 9 and went up for breakfast. Well, thanks’s to Valentine’s, now we have got lots of chocolates at home. xD Tomorrow (Sunday) is Kevin’s birthday, so Cheryl was busy making a coconut pie for him. We left for college at 10.15 and she pointed to me on the way that the West looks stormy. Well, the coast is to the West…

So I was dropped at Melrose at 10.30. Spent 30 minutes using internet on my phone. Joshua was the first on to get onto the van, while I waited until 11, exactly the time when Pioneer’s bell rang. While I walked out from Melrose, Jongbin was coming from the left while Queenie was coming from the right towards the van. Good timing. lol.

Bahram checked the weather and said that there is a storm at the coast, so Sandy gave us another choice, which is to get to Salem, the capital of Oregon. Well, as soon as Sandy told us that we will get to do some shopping there, our choice got fixed. Why? We have got SangEun, Queenie, and Namhee on the van. Girls. lol.

YiYang wasn’t with us, but we have Sujan from Nepal. Joshua, me an Sujan sat together on the front row on our way there… I should I went to the back. ==” Why crowding up when we have so much space behind? =3

So we went straight to the central part of Salem, and I took some pictures with my phone.

Ever wondered how Oregon sky looks like? Here you go. Typical Oregon sky is all cloudy. Kind of gotten used to it, but I still think that it is kind of depressing. Guess I need more dopamine….

I don’t know what do you call this building, but it is the central building of Salem…

And here is Namhee sharing her scarf with SangEun. lol.

And right after that we went to the Mill, which is actually a museum… According to the video that we watched there, Salem started with this Mill and the a few houses around it. We visited the buildings around, and the most important point to note here is that: the beds were VERY short in the past. D= I am sure my brother will complain about it. lol.

It was about 1 when we finished our tour. Kind of spent a lot of time there, for no reason. And Queenie managed to bully a little girl with orange hair by saying that she is abnormal… The girl seems to be very happy with it tough. lol. Oh and he has got another sister with brown hair, and a cute elder brother with I-don’t-know-what-color hair. It is dark and long. That’s all I know. lol. Oh and he is kind of shy and have strong family solidarity as compared to her sisters… @@

And so we went to the coffee shop in the museum and had something to eat. Well, I ordered some ice-cream sundae which costed me $1.50, but I am happy with it because it was nice. xD And in Penang they sale it at about the same price.. a little cheaper maybe.. Oh and it was written on the menu as $2.50, so, hehe. xD

And then we went to Woodburn outlet, the heaven for all ladies… We was given one and a half hour, but as I predicted , the girls spent 2 hours instead. lol. And all I did was to walk around with Jongbin, Joshua and Sujan, from one store to another. Really find a lot of things I like that are quite cheap, because it there was a sale for the president holiday or something…

Unfortunately, I have got most the things I need, so I decided not to buy anything. We saw skateboard, which are very expensive… around $100. =3 And then the Coach store, you need to queue up in order to get in, so I didn’t bother getting in. But I saw the sale price was around $130…

Got back onto the van and waited for the girls. Jongbin came back a little late because he went and bought himself a sweater. And as soon as the girls came back we departed. And wow Sandy bought each of us a bar of chocolate, she also bought us some cookies at the coffee shop earlier. So nice of her. Did I told you that this trip is free? =D

Used internet to do all kinds of stuff while waiting for Ed and Cheryl from 5.45 to 7.45, and because I was quite hungry, I ate more than half of the chocolate. By the way, I have forgotten when the rest of them are… Why did I keep them? 0.0

Ed and Cheryl went to Salem too, to visit a friend in the hospital, and David, the funny guy who visited us when Oscar was around. And that night, we stopped to watch the stars again. Sooo beautiful, but freezing cold, yeah. >< And because of the light pollution from the town, it is basically impossible to see Milky Way..

Had dinner, bathed, and wrote diary. And… attempted to finish my assignment but fell asleep instead.. =3
